Marlin was a robot from Warwick in Warwickshire that competed in the Swimming event during Series 3 of Techno Games in 2002. It was finished in six weeks and is powered by 24V windscreen wiper motors. In it's lone appearance, it performed really well as it won overall and broke two world records in its heat and the semifinals.

In Marlin's first heat, it went up against Quack 1, Turtle Duck, Sir Roboat Sinksalot and former Swimming semifinalist Swimosaurus. Marlin had no issues here as it easily passed all of its opponents and finished first at a very swift time of 11:47 seconds, which was a new world record. This win put Marlin and Turtle Duck, who finished second at 1:03:94 seconds, to the Swimming quarterfinals.

In its semifinal heat, it went up against Nautilus Mega-Kid, Hydra 2 and Pete the Penguin. Like its first heat, Marlin easily passed all of its opponents and managed to beat its own record by finishing at a swift time of 11:13 seconds. This win put Marlin to the Swimming final, where it faced Brutosaurus, Doggy Paddle Deluxe and Roboduck.

Marlin easily passed all of its opponents and finished first at another quick time of 11:19 seconds, just outside its own world record. Brutosaurus finished about 4 seconds later at 14:97 seconds, Doggy Paddle Deluxe finishing third at 16:62 seconds and Roboduck finishing fourth at 18:85 seconds. In the end, Marlin received the gold medal for finishing first overall in the Swimming and left the event with two world records under its belt.
